Herbal Detox Tea

So the last time I wrote I mentioned to everyone that the Arbonne Herbal Detox Tea was my new favorite tea in the world. It is not only wonderfully delicious but healthy too! (All natural and caffeine free) Well, since then I have had about a cup a day, occasionally two and I must be honest and say, that I truly do feel the difference!

How? Well, let’s start with what this tea does for you. It is a detox tea that supports the liver and kidneys for overall health. Detoxification takes place in the liver and kidneys. It is the kidney's job to process about 48 gallons of blood per day. Kidneys reabsorb nutrients and water, phosphates and calcium from food while ridding your body of toxic wastes. The kidneys also help secrete a hormone called erythropoietin which stimulates red blood cell production. If your liver and kidneys are not detoxifying or draining toxins from your blood stream properly then this buildup of toxins in our body can lead to many ill feeling symptoms and allows for disease to easily set in. Symptoms may include fatigue, poor memory or brain fog, kidney stones, urinary tract infections, restlessness, vertigo or a sense of imbalance among others. Not to mention, one MAJOR symptom for us women, amplified mood swings with PMS. So for me, I have been feeling less "brain foggy" and more energetic. I have also noticed that my erratic sleep patterns have decreased. I am getting a much more relaxed and better quality of sleep. On a more personal note, during my PMS, I had the cramps, the bloating and the fatigue, but the intensity of the cramps and boating were decreased. Not dramatically, but to a more manageable level. As for the moodiness, well, let’s just say, my husband did not make any excuses to leave the room I was in. Nor did he suddenly have to run multiple errands outside our home! So I think that speaks volumes!

I am not saying that this tea is the cure for dysfunctional liver and kidneys. It is merely an aid in promoting healthier liver and kidney function. There are several ways to achieve better liver and kidney function and overall health. Maintain calcium, iron and magnesium levels. Eat foods rich in magnesium, like green veggies, nuts and whole grains. Limit your salt intake. Limit your alcohol intake. Avoid fried foods, processed carbohydrates, caffeine and sugars. Also, don't indulge in heavy meals. Overeating does not help your digestive enzymes to break down food properly.

For more details on liver and kidney health you should speak to your primary physician. I am not a physician. These are all things I learned from my Doc. after I mentioned the tea to him. He also said "Any natural way to detox is a good idea. If this tea is working for you, then drink up! I do not see any downside to drinking it, unless you were using it with certain medications. Or if you were pregnant, nursing or trying to become pregnant." So, there you have it, the typical doctor spiel.

It is my personal goal to achieve and maintain better kidney and liver function. The Arbonne Detox Tea is just one tool I am using to help me along. If you were interested in trying the Arbonne Detox Tea, then here is the link:

I would love to hear from anyone one on other ways that I could promote better health for my liver and kidneys. I would also love to hear about other delicious herbal detox teas! I'm open to trying them, however, after drinking the Arbonne tea, the others teas have a pretty big cup to fill! I am interested in learning your opinions and experiences with any detox teas!

So here's to better health and a good cup of tea! Take care all!
